A little paint goes a long way

As you know, I am redoing my bedroom, which means a very fair amount of paint has been involved. I need to paint all of my walls, furniture, and decor to match my pastel-themed goal. This post is  purposed to show just how easy it is to change the look of something and bring out all of the potential with just a bit of paint.

Curtains to skirt refashion

I bought a pair of curtains last winter and as cute as the fabric was, they weren't. So they sat in my basement until yestdrday.  I finally decided to cut them up and turn them into a gathered skirt. I think the final result is fantastic!

A first look at the undoing of my old room

After a long life staring at there same faded walls, (11 years!!!) It was time for a massive change. 3 of the 4 walls were a cream color that came with the house,  and the accent wall was done in pink with stripes by my mom. As incredible as the wall looked origionally, it needed to go. Desperately. And today was the day all of my walls were painted! This is the part where I thank my grandma for supplying paint, and my mom for actually painting. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
It looks like a new bedroom already, but I still have lots of work to do. Furniture needs to be painted and a new matress needs to be bought.  My goal is to have it all done in one weeks time.  Wish me luck!

Pretty in pink(and paint)

I love my new hair.  This is my favorite style yet!  The great gatsby has really inspired me so I decided to just go for it and do a modern take on flapper hair- by adding pink!
FCCLA also had its first meeting this week and we played paint twister! It was an incredible, fun, mess! So to anyone that goes to my school: join because it will only get better!

Hawaii

I'm back from my incredible trip and attempting to readjust to school life- meaning lots of makeup work and adjusting to utah time. I still haven't unpacked and I've been home since Wednesday night!
I really miss Hawaii already.  It was so relaxing and I needed a break.

Thank you Nan and Papa so much for taking me on the trip that made my year!
