what WE wore: besties

I felt Lauren needed to be in my outfit post. She is going to make many more appearances here.

So this is my best friend, she is pretty great.  We are both artists, vintage lovers, crafters, and seamstresses.  We both have plans to go to an art college.  Lauren wants to study visual art and I want to study fashion design and visual art... I am undecided.  We make each other better personality wise, artistically, and socially.

recently thrifted

Hi everybody!  I am very excited to share with you some of my recent finds from the estate sales last weekend! I was upset I spent as much money as I did until I realized just how much I got.  Guilt gone.

Looking at all of my goods that I have collected and kept for my vintage shop has made me so happy.  I really am excited for the day I can have a real store.  Until then, I will stock pile until I think I have enough to open up an online shop.  Until then, if anyone is interested in checking out my stash, give me a call or shoot me an email because I would love to show everything off!

hey, I like your boots- thanks, they're from Yugoslavia.

This purse.  I was so excited the woman looking at it put it down!  I don't think I took a breath until she did.

Thrifting

Today my best friend Lauren and I went estate sale shopping! After hitting up the estate sales we visited my grandma, went to lunch, and shopped at savers.
This was a big day because Lauren has been the estate sale bad luck charm until now. Today is the first time Lauren has really been to a good one. I bought tons of stuff I am excited to share so be sure to come back tomorrow!

what I wore: star events regionals

Why hello friends!  Today is a great day!  I missed school to compete in star events and guess what!?  I got silver!  How ecstatic am I?  Well.. very!  I really was unprepared due to procrastination, but state isn't for months, so I have so much extra time!  My goal for state?  Gold!

The dress code for star events was pretty strict- black skirt to the knee, white, black, or red blouse.  It left me a little room for creativity so I decked myself out in vintage, of course!
I am so excited to share my dress with you, but I want to wait until I fix a couple things on it and wear it on Valentine's day first!

what I wore: the eve of star events area competition

Yes, the time has come to stop the procrastination.  The time to make everything for star events has come and gone.  Why am I still not ready?

I never finished the poster I needed(yesterday's project), and on top of that I need to make a heart shaped hat and flash cards!

what I wore: procrastination

My best friend Lauren, (who has a blog now!) told me today in AP art that I don't write enough on my blog. I post often, just not enough words are used.  And I she is right!  I can never get my thoughts to come across well in writing.  my sarcasm doesn't translate well.  But starting now I will try to do better!

So where is procrastination in this outfit post?  That it even exists, my friends.  Procrastination is written all over. I should currently be working on a poster and crocheting a scarf for Star Events.  (The competition I'm sewing for)  Did I mention it's on Wednesday!?  Everything has to be done tomorrow after school, which puts me in a bit of a panic.  So- tonight I crochet, tomorrow in my two sewing classes I assemble a poster. Wish me luck!
