 My grandpa strongly dislikes this hat.  I love it.  Since it was so cold, I took advantage of the weather and wore it.  Ta da!  It's not so stupid now, is it Grandpa?  ;)

I crocheted: pretty ugly scarf

 Over the weekend I wanted to make something ugly to reflect on the days before.  It turned out pretty awesome!  I made a hood for Lauren's scarf and I wanted one too!  I experimented a bit on mine and the hood can be buttoned below the chin or left open to lay flat when taken off.

Recently thrifted

Wow. I got so much this thrifting trip! I am so excited to share all of my finds with you! I also want to apologize for disappearing. The last few days have left me mentally dead. I didn't even leave my bed for school after Tuesday. This week has been very difficult, but actually getting dressed and going thrifting is a great first step to getting back on track.

 My sister and I are not ice skaters.  Avery spent the majority of her time on the ice while I wobbled.  My aunt Renae wanted me to try spinning and that is what these two pictures are.

free slouchy hat pattern

 Using a J hook:  

Chain 4, sl stitch to form ring.

Round 1:   ch 2, hdc 9 in center of ring, sl stitch together

Round 2:   ch 2, hdc in same stitch, hdc 2 in each st, sl stitch together

Round 3:   ch 2, hdc in each st, sl stitch together

Round 4:   ch 2, hdc in same stitch, 2 hdc in each st, sl stitch together

Round 5:   ch 2, hdc in each stitch, Sl stitch together

Round 6:   ch 2, *2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next stitch, repeat from *. sl stitch together

Round 7-12:   ch 2, hdc in each stitch around. Sl stitch together

Round 13:  ch 2, hdc in next stitche, *2 hdc in next st, hdc in next 2 stitches, repeat from *. sl stitch together

Round 14- 19:   ch 2, hdc in each stitch, sl stitch together

Round 20:   ch 2, hdc in next 4 stitches, *hdctog in next stitch, hdc in next 5 stitches, repeat from *, sl stitch together

Round 21:   ch 2, hdc in next 2 stitches, *hdctog in next stitch, hdc in next 3 stitches, repeat from *, sl stitch together

Round 22:   ch 1, sc in each stitch, sl stitch together

Round 23-28:   ch 2, hdcbp in next stitch, hdcfp in next stitch, Repeat from *, sl stitch together. fasten off.

If you want to switch colors like I did, change colors after rows 5, 6, 7,11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 21, and 23.
